The GDPR impacts numerous aspects of a business which means that to implement it effectively within an organisation, one should have legal, technical and business knowledge. There is a set of ‘soft skills’ that is also required: ability to lead people, work with numerous stakeholders and strong project management skills. Thus, more often than not, GDPR is not a matter of hiring the right person, but of hiring or upskilling the right people.
